I
direct theatre pieces and operas. I also make multidisciplinary live
art and performances. I also usually write the scripts or librettos.
I'm
originally a painter, so when I first started to make also live art, it
was traditional performance art. Then I migrated into theatre — or some
kind of theatre.
It
has been very rewarding to me to work in different realms
simultaneously: visual art, literature, performing arts, film and
research — in no hierarchical order.
This multiplicity also gives my work in live arts its special qualities (be they good or bad).
My
works in this field can be difficult to categorize, since I often
combine various forms and genres in a quite democratic manner.
